We seek an experienced Registered Building Surveyor / Senior Building Regulations Consultant to join our team.
About the Role:
This opportunity will allow you to work with a friendly and engaging team focused on ASA's continued growth and success.
You will undertake plan checking for compliance with the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
Provide regulatory advice to clients, including stakeholders, builders, contractors, developers, architects, and engineers, on the requirements of the Building Act, Regulations, and Codes.
Liaise with relevant authorities and government departments.
Facilitate the preparation of building permits, occupancy permits, certificates, and documentation.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Lead and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support for high-quality work and timely project completion.
Assist with analysing performance solutions and fire engineering reports for compliance with the BCA.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role (minimum 3+ years)
* Completed a Degree/Diploma in Building Surveying
* Registration as a Building Surveyor – Limited or Unlimited (or near registration)
* Possess knowledge and understanding of relevant Act/Regulations & Building Code of Australia
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
* Exceptional numerical and problem-solving skills
* High level computer/IT skills
* Multilingual skills, particularly advantageous in serving our diverse international clientele
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a highly motivated team
* A commitment to ongoing professional development
