About the Role Reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance and in the role of Service Technician, you will carry out the highest level of servicing repairs and general maintenance support to a modern fleet of autonomous trucks, graders and dozers. This includes routine fuel and lubrication top ups on our Surface Mobile Equipment (SME), lubrication on our fixed plant equipment and machines in our maintenance workshops. You will be required to operate Light Vehicle (LV) class and SME class service truck vehicles. In this role you will: Provide the highest level of servicing, repairs and general maintenance support to a fleet of autonomous trucks, graders and dozers. Contribute to our safety and continuous improvement culture, BHP Operating Systems (BOS), by being pro-active and demonstrating a commitment to high standards of execution within your trade. Operate mobile equipment within limits of competence, training and experience. Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports as required. Use of computerized maintenance systems (SAP) including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders. To be considered for these positions it is not necessarily essential to have prior experience within the mining industry; transferrable skill-sets within Construction, Oil & Gas, Aviation, Civil, Defence & Agriculture just to name a few may transfer well into these positions. If you are exceptionally mechanically minded, enjoy or suit a workshop environment, work with tools, describe yourself as exceptionally hands-on or consider yourself a bit of a tinkerer, professionally or personally this role may be of consideration. Location Newman Operations, Mobile maintenance Newman East (8 days, 6 off, 7 nights, 7 off). About You The ideal candidate will have the following: C Class Drivers Licence is essential (HR Drivers Licence is preferred). Experience with re-fueling and servicing of Mobile Equipment is advantageous.
