About you
A new opportunity has become available at Life Without Barriers for a Program Manager to support our Child, Youth and Family Service (CYF, Out of Home Care services).
This role will suit someone who is highly motivated, strategic, has attention to detail, able to quickly grasp and respond to local needs and has a key focus for continuous improvement and positive client outcomes. You will have experience in the management of Out of Home Care, inclusive of foster care and Residential care. You will use your business acumen and interpersonal skills to engage and work with multiple stakeholders, as well as promote LWB as a quality service provider.
About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to join our Victoria team in a leadership position.
The primary focus of this role is to cultivate a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement within CYF Victoria, enabling our clients to achieve their highest potential. The role plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating initiatives for all OOHC services. This position serves as the primary liaison with the Department, for CIMS reporting and will work closely with the Operations team to ensure we are meeting the requirements.
This position can be based at any of our Victorian offices; however this is a hybrid work from home position. Some travel from time to time to locations such as Geelong, Sunshine or Dandenong. This role is a full-time,12-month max term contract position. This role provides flexibility, allowing for both office and home-based work arrangements, facilitating a harmonious work-life balance.
Some Key Responsibilities
* Lead a therapeutic approach providing stable and ongoing support to children and young people throughout their care journey.
* Assist with recruitment, support and retain a qualified and motivated team that supports the culture, values and business objectives of LWB.
* Undertake CIMS case reviews and oversee the reporting and tracking of our reporting requirements to Department of Fairness Families and Housing (DFFH) .
* Assist Operations team with the implementation of the new Worker Carer and Employment Scheme (WCES)
* Coordinate the key deliverables and support Operations teams to have oversight of these.
* Assist the Family Based Care and Residential Service, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, contractual requirements, and internal policy
* Ensure delivery of program services in accordance with program budget, local business plans and in line with client needs and plans
* Ensure a consistent standard of quality is delivered for program in accordance with regulations prescribed in relevant legislation and funding agency standards.
* Manage risks and issues arising in the course of service management.
* Contribute positively to strategies relating to Compliance, Cultural Confidence,
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to conduct in-depth root cause analysis into service delivery challenges, working in tandem with relevant business support units to devise and execute action plans that address and rectify these issues.
* Set the standard for a culture of continuous improvement in service delivery, pinpointing and pursuing opportunities that elevate client outcomes and overall customer experiences.
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated experience working with individuals, families and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective that are part of the out of home care sector.
* Demonstrated experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
* A demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of clients.
* Demonstrated understanding of impact of trauma and attachment on children and young people and complex behaviours.
* Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management.
* Demonstrated ability to manage services and programs within a budget.
Essential Criteria
* A degree qualification in Human Services or similar
* Significant experience in the child protection and out of home care sector.
* Strong coordination, leadership and peer support skills.
* Highly developed critical thinking and reflective practice skills
* High level communication, influencing, liaison, negotiation and mediation skills.
* Current Drivers Licence.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
