Hours: Monday – Friday, on site 7am to 5pm. Travel may be required. Hours may vary from time to time. Saturday work may be required.
Divall’s Earthmoving & Bulk Haulage is a thriving family business with a dynamic and inclusive work environment. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Civil Construction Apprentice! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry professionals, and work on a range of projects that help shape our communities.
You will acquire the knowledge, skills, and competence to complete the apprenticeship, with a view to establishing a career in the civil industry.
The successful candidate will complete a three-year apprenticeship through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience. We will provide you with ongoing mentoring and support to help you achieve your career goals and unleash your true potential.
This role would suit an individual who is happy to work outdoors and as part of a team, with a mentor and mentee structure. However, an ability to work effectively and efficiently autonomously is also crucial to the role.
Typical duties of apprentices include:
* Assist with site preparation, earthmoving, concreting, and other construction tasks
* Operate hand and power tools under supervision
* Learn how to interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
* Work as part of a skilled team to complete projects on time
* Comply with all safety and environmental regulations
Qualifications:
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Enjoy working outdoors and as part of a team
* Basic understanding of safety practices
* Able to follow instructions and take initiative
* Capable of undertaking manual/physical work
* Motivated with a genuine interest in the industry
* Trustworthy and reliable
* Committed to the full term of the apprenticeship
* Good manual handling techniques and safety focus
* A current driver’s licence is preferable
