Package: Up to approx. $540k plus oncalls.
Hours: 80hrs per fortnight.

This regional health service on Queensland's beautiful coastline, is looking for a dedicated Clinical Director of Anaesthetics to lead their team of consultant anaesthetists to help drive high-quality patient outcomes whilst advancing the scope of a regional health service.

Core Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and clinical leadership within the department of anaesthesia, promoting continuous quality improvement and safe, innovative models of care and excellence in clinical governance as a whole.
* Work closely with the Director of Medical Services and Nurse Directors to streamline theatre use, improve service efficiency, and foster multidisciplinary partnerships.
* Mentor and support the development of medical staff, from junior doctors to seasoned professionals, ensuring a continuous learning environment. Oversee all aspects of anaesthesia care, supporting the resolution of complaints, medico-legal matters etc.
* Contribute to resource management, budget control, and patient safety initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-value healthcare.
Selection criteria
* Medical degree and current or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or equivalent qualification recognized by ANZCA or AHPRA on the new Expedited Specialists Pathway.
* Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, quality assurance, and continuous professional development.
* High-level communication skills, with a commitment to patient safety and clinical governance.
