About the role: Our client, an Australian primary health care provider, are looking for an experienced payroll project specialist to join their team on a 6 month contract.
The Payroll Projects Specialist, reporting to the Financial Controller, will support payroll operations and play a pivotal role in implementing a new payroll system (EmploymentHero) to replace the current system (MicroPay).
Additionally, the role involves ensuring timely and accurate weekly pay runs using current systems, ensuring a seamless transition for all stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for this role has had previous experience in payroll system implementation as well as great communication skills and a proactive attitude towards process improvement.
The Responsibilities: Using your experience from BAU Payroll to map out the current Payroll processes Providing input into the design and implementation of the new system Work closely with the Projects team on the smooth transition to the new system Processing Fortnightly pay runs for ~ employees from start to finish using a new Platform Updating and importing timesheets from Time & Attendance Software Outputs and reconciliations for monthly management accounts and annual financial statements; including AL and LSL leave accruals, salary accruals and other payables/accruals (WC, Super & Payroll Tax) Reporting the outcomes of different tests used with the system The successful candidate will have: At least 5 years' experience in a Payroll position.
Healthcare industry experience is an advantage Previous experience in payroll system implementation Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Previous experience with Sage MicroPay, Tanda, and Employment Hero would be highly regarded Understanding of awards and ability to interpret the Support Services & Nurses awards Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
Ability to thrive in a changing and fast paced environment Up to date knowledge of contemporary payroll, taxation and superannuation legislation
