As a store team member, you play a critical role in delivering an outstanding customer experience and achieving sales goals.
This position is responsible for assisting customers, promoting products, maintaining the store's appearance, and ensuring the efficient operation of day-to-day store activities.
A Team Member is expected to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, maintain product knowledge, and contribute to a positive shopping environment.
What's involved:
Provide helpful, courteous, and efficient service by actively engaging with customers.
Promote sales of store products and services.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.
Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
Restock shelves and displays to maintain inventory levels.
Process Click and Collect items in a timely manner.
Assist with visual merchandising to ensure products are displayed in an attractive and accessible manner.
Process customer transactions accurately using the store's point of sale (POS) system.
Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy.
Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as necessary.
Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
Work cooperatively with colleagues and management to ensure the store operates smoothly.
Contribute to team meetings and provide feedback for improving sales and customer service.
What We're looking for:
Previous experience in Retail with an ability to provide great customer service.
Ability to multi-task.
Be willing to work a wide range of retail hours including morning, evening, weekends, and public holidays.
Have an eagerness to learn and share ideas.
A respect for both team members and customers and an ability to gain rapport and build relationships.
General capability with Microsoft/Google suite and previous experience reporting retail sales and training POS systems.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service skills including problem-solving.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with POS systems or cash handling including reconciling cash registers and preparing bank deposits.
Ensuring compliance with safety and administration policies.
Experience in Warehousing (Goods Inwards and Outwards).
Experience with managing and organizing Click and Collect.
Ability to lift and carry merchandise, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Lifting of products or boxes up to 25kgs.
Store environment, which may include fluctuating temperatures and varied traffic levels.
