The role of the Sterilisation Technician is to ensure all equipment being used in Ward areas and Operating Theatres has been cleaned and sterilised to the highest quality. The successful candidate will participate in record keeping and daily testing of machinery. This is a fast paced environment and you would have the ability to prioritise workload as demand changes during shifts and to adapt to changes in technology and work processes. What you will bring to the role: Able to work a flexible rotating roster Demonstrated understanding of infection control principles Physically capable of carrying out all duties, including handling chemicals, biological hazards, standing for extended periods of time, lifting, pulling and pushing loads Basic computer skills Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills Holds a certificate in Sterilisation Technology from TAFE Ability to work in a busy department whilst handling multiple priorities Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
