Business Manager - Alice Springs NT Based
Territory Water Solutions (Barkly Plumbing Services) is a second generation, family-owned civil and commercial plumbing company located in Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, dedicated to ensuring safe and reliable water access for all Territorians regardless of the distance or terrain challenges they face. We service the Central and Barkly regions of the Northern Territory. This role is based in Alice Springs, NT.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Manager located in Alice Springs. The Business Manager will lead and coordinate the company's corporate support functions and financial management. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily business operations, managing financial activities, overseeing Human Resources functions, developing strategic plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Corporate Services Leadership: Provide overall leadership and direction to deliver strong corporate services managing the support functions for the business including HR, IT, Marketing, Legal, Quality Safety and Environment, Indigenous inclusion, and administrative support.
2. Financial Management: Provide financial management for the business including forecasting, budgeting, ATO lodgement, recording of assets, and management of inventory. Ensure positive financial health, profitability, and sustainability. Implement effective financial control measures.
3. Operational Excellence and Governance: Provide strong internal processes, policies, and systems to ensure the business meets its legislative requirements. Ensure operational processes and policies are efficient and compliant with relevant Australian standards and regulations, such as ISO certifications, ATO requirements, Employment Standards, Safety, and Environmental legislation. Identify and manage an organisational risk process and register.
Skills & Experience:
* Financial Management, Business Development, and Strategic Planning skills
* Human Resources and legislation knowledge
* Experience in overseeing daily business operations
* Regulatory Compliance knowledge
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team and independently
* Experience in the plumbing or construction industry is a plus
Desirable Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field
* Qualifications in safety management, quality assurance, or leadership training
