About the role
If you have an interest in working within the justice system, we have an exciting opportunity to offer to someone with the skill set we are looking for.
The Senior Customer Service Officer is responsible for;
4. Coordinating the physical and human resources for a work team with the Magistrates Court of WA;
5. Providing an advisory service to all internal and external customers in relation to the practice and procedures of the Magistrates Court of Western Australia;
6. Is required to travel and provide judicial support to the magistrate throughout various regions by road or light aircraft; and
7. May be required to perform relieving duties at other court locations within the various regions;
8. Will be required to accompany the judicial officer on circuit within the region travelling by vehicle or light aircraft.
About you
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can operate effectively and achieve results independently, be self-motivated and have a high level of attention to detail.
They should also have the ability to re-schedule and prioritise their workloads, respond under direction and have the willingness and ability to provide a high level of customer service to court clients and stakeholders.
It will be imperative that the successful applicant can develop and maintain effective working relationships as a member of a small team that can achieve the business area objectives as a collective.
Eligibility
Knowledge of or experience in court practices and procedures.
Understands legislation and contributes to the implementation of strategies to meet legislative changes.
To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
