Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician
About the Role
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the operation of North East Water's mechanical assets and systems associated with water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Preventative and breakdown maintenance of mechanical assets and systems associated with water and wastewater infrastructure.
* Provide technical support to Operational staff to resolve faults and issues within critical infrastructure to ensure business continuity.
* Ensure accurate initiation and completion of all relevant documentation; works management system, timesheets, project closures, and other relevant paperwork.
* Provides emergency maintenance response and servicing across the North East Water region.
* Identify improvement opportunities or areas of business risk for corrective action as appropriate.
* Assist in the delivery of mechanical upgrades and asset renewals, and minor capital works.
Requirements
* Relevant trade qualification in a mechanical field.
* Experience with breakdown maintenance and prioritising competing workloads, particularly pump faults and maintenance.
* Commitment to work health safety systems and practices.
* Self-motivated individual with a teamwork focus and excellent communication skills.
* Currect driver's licence (must be willing to obtain a medium rigid licence if not currently a licence holder).
