Role OverviewThe Finance Manager is responsible for leading sustainable growth by taking ownership of financial operations, controls, and management information for the Business Unit. You will provide insight and influence to impact performance and maintain competitive advantage alongside financial and contract support leadership and direction.
Here's a snapshot of your dayManage contract governance, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of the terms and conditions of the contract to ensure that all cost elements are appropriately accounted for. Continually review and improve cash flow, margins, and reporting.Build strong relationships with account management and key client members and be a business partner for both.Oversee the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting.Review balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows and supporting schedules, and standard consolidated reporting packs for accuracy.Review and approve basic monthly journal entries.Play a key role in the monthly formal contract and business unit reviews.Liaise with the CBRE APAC Finance or GWS APAC Financial Planning and Analysis team to fulfill any ad hoc information requests.Support any GWS transformation and client initiatives, working closely with other functions to ensure full alignment of deliverables and results.Prepare accurate Business Unit reports in line with the monthly company timetable including full Profit & Loss account with analysis and commentary, Balance Sheet extracts and reconciliations, review Project Profitability reporting, Profit & Loss forecasts, and annual plans.Provide ad-hoc reporting as requested by Divisional Finance Director or Business Unit Director.Provide best-in-class Management Information to both Client and GWS management to include Actuals vs Budget.Be involved with financial Planning and financial governance activities.Provide ad-hoc support and financial analysis as required.The ideal candidateMust be a qualified accountant and member of a recognised accounting organisation (CPA/CA).At least 6 years of post-qualified accountant experience.Previous experience of a service industry operations systems such as TM1 or Peoplesoft.Financial Planning and Analysis experience, including budgets, forecasts, monthly and ad hoc reporting.Commercial experience with a track record of improving and delivering robust, accurate financial information, and adding value to a business.Ability to work within a matrix organization and having the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Previous experience in a service industry role using operating systems such as TM1, Peoplesoft is highly advantageous.Management skills to maximise the performance of staff working directly for them and others.Experience working with GMP, Cost plus and Fixed price commercial models - desirable.Can we inspire you to join us?People are the foundation upon which our success is built.
