Key requirements
Mandatory requirements
* Registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or a Mental Health accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Highly desirable requirements
Ideal Candidate:
* Post-graduate qualifications in Organisational Psychology are highly regarded.
* A strong understanding of Queensland Mental Health Service delivery, legislation, and policies is essential.
* Leadership experience in delivering mental health programs within large government organisations.
* Developing evidence-based mental health initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.
Your key accountabilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver best-practice mental health services, including triaging, short-term counselling, and training.
* Develop regional mental health plans using data-driven insights and stakeholder consultation.
* Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure statewide consistency and governance of services.
* Oversee regional support networks and crisis support triaging.
* Facilitate training, workshops, and events to promote mental health awareness.
* Prepare reports, briefs, and submissions on psychological support services.
* Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Represent the QLD Government department in committees and working groups.
