CHS Broadbent are seeking a qualified diesel mechanic to fill a full-time position, and work across our modern fleet of Kenworth and Mack trucks, as well as earthmoving and agricultural machinery.

Based in our Ballarat workshop you’ll be working with some of the very best heavy vehicle diesel mechanics in the business, with an abundance of experience and knowledge to share.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring that all vehicles, trailers, plant and equipment are serviced and maintained within required timeframes
Provide leadership and guidance to apprentices with respect to all aspects of the workshop and look for opportunities to provide further on the job training
Diagnostic and preventative maintenance
Attend to breakdowns (where required)
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety
Ensure the maintenance records for fleet are accurate and up-to date
The successful candidate will have:
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses
Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvement
Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (third or fourth year apprentice applications are also welcomed)
