Unique opportunity to join Newcastle's Art Gallery at a time of growth and renewalSupportive team environment in newly expanded facilityNewly created, permanent part-time role, 21-hours per weekAs we prepare to open the reimagined Newcastle Art Gallery, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Exhibitions Production Assistant to join the team in this newly created role, working 21-hours per week.A key role in our Curatorial and Exhibitions Team, the Exhibitions Production Assistant will support the practical installation and technical realisation of Newcastle Art Gallery's ambitious artistic program. Under the direction of the Exhibitions Lead, you will contribute to the delivery of temporary exhibitions, artist commissions, and collection displays across multiple spaces, by undertaking the detailed installation of artworks across a variety of physical and digital mediums; coordinating exhibition furniture, lighting and equipment, maintaining exhibitions and displays, light fabrication and technical troubleshooting.Working closely with the Exhibitions Production Officer and Registration and Collections Officer, you will support the logistical and practical delivery of efficient, sustainable, and high-quality exhibition outcomes, following industry best practice standards.
