Will you be a part of the team?About the roleAs a Lead Data Analyst, reporting to our Head of Analytics, you will play a critical strategic role in shaping Flex's future by guiding key analytics projects across our Customer Support, Finance, Go-To-Market, Marketing, Product, and Strategy teams. You will champion truth seeking across the business, working to bring clarity to some of Flex’s most challenging and complex areas. Through your technical expertise and mastery of data-led storytelling, you improve our understanding of the business and where we can make improvements. The ideal candidate for this role is intensely curious, holds themselves to a high analytical bar, while simultaneously balancing analytical rigor with speed and ultimate business impact.What you’ll doImprove our understanding of key Flex domains by creating scalable frameworks that connect dots across the business into easily interpretable outputsProactively and effectively root cause data and performance issues across the business in order to ensure continued strong performanceCreate and improve dashboards, visualizations, and automations that help us scale analytics across FlexWork to establish clear causal links between actions and outcomes through experimentation and other relevant methods, where applicableCombine data and strategy - being that bridge between what the data is telling us and the implications for strategic priorities within different areas of the businessChampion best practices, precise and consistent terminology, and robust documentation within Analytics and more broadly across the organizationQualificationsPhD, Masters, or Bachelor’s Degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)8+ years of experience using analytical and statistical methods to support and drive critical business outcomesExpert communicator who can break down complex technical concepts into simple business vernacularExperience across a variety of analytical domains that allow you to bring unique perspectives to solving hard problemsDemonstrated success driving business strategy and outcomes from an analytics lensAdvanced experience with SQL, business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode, Looker, etc.)Experience with ETL processes, especially utilizing dbt and SnowflakeTrack record of using quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive decisionsBiased for action - knows when to not let perfect be the enemy of good enough, while also can effectively highlight the tradeoffs / risks of moving too quickly too soonStrong ownership mindset with a deep natural curiosity to dive into the details and understand how systems workThis role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters (a few blocks from Union Square).CompensationThe salary compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
