The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and sales at our Mount Barker Mitre 10 store. Position is a Casual position 20-30 hours per week, across 7 days with potential weekend work. As a Retail Team Member, you will be a clear communicator, highly approachable, specialized in paint products, and an effective team player. You will deliver excellent customer service throughout our retail department, develop strong relationships with customers, and be focused on stock, paint, and presentation.
Responsibilities include:
* Provide GREAT service and advise customers on products and services
* Providing expert paint advice by guiding customers on paint selection, including finishes, colors, and suitability for various surfaces.
* Operate paint tinting machines to create custom colors tailored to customer requirements.
* Build relationships with customers and be able to identify their needs
* Assist customers in understanding application techniques and tools required for successful painting projects.
* Manage stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and stock loss
* Maintain correct stock tickets
* Perform stock refill
* WHS and housekeeping
* Adhere to administrative requirements
Requires skills and attributes:
* Strong interpersonal skills and able to work within a team
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
* Comfortable with manual handling activities
* Stay up to date with the latest paint technologies, primers, sealers, and accessories to provide informed recommendations.
