JD Ross Energy have partnered with a leading renewable energy Owner & Operator in Australia to help find a Development Manager of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including Onshore Wind/Solar/BESS. The ideal candidate will have detailed experience and knowledge of utility-scale renewable energy projects, either coming from a; Land / Planning / Environmental / Approval / Development / Engineering background that proven exposure within project management. Key Responsibilities; Project Management Execution of project development plans including securing, managing and coordinating internal and external consultants Track and report on project progress against budget and schedule Strategic assessment of development activities Clear and concise internal stakeholder communications resulting in alignment of corporate strategy. Development activities Grow and foster relationships with key project stakeholders i Work collaboratively with the Communications and Engagement team to manage, coordinate and participate in stakeholder and community engagement activities Secure and manage internal resources and specialist consultants as required including technical, engineering, communications, legal, finance. Viable projects with community support developed to financial close. A developed understanding of community and stakeholder issues with appropriate solutions. Strong relationships with external stakeholder’s Planning, Environmental & Approvals Identification of potential planning and environment risk, selecting, engaging and overseeing external consultants and experts to progress studies. Working as part of a project team, manage development and environmental approval processes to obtain all necessary permits and approvals at a state and federal level for the projects. Planning permits / consents and environmental approvals for the projects. Grid Connection Identification of grid connections options, engaging with Network Services Providers (NPSs) and external consultants on all aspects relating to the grid connection process, including preparing connection enquires, using consultants conducting early-stage prefeasibility assessment of connection options. Grid Connection Agreement Late-Stage Development Commercial Activities Support the technical team in the selection of EPC contractors and where needed participate in EPC negotiation, as well as potential supply agreements with battery OEMs and integrators. Negotiated connection agreements with the NSP with terms capable of acceptance. EPC contractors screened and shortlisted / negotiations finalised as applicable (where required).
