About the Opportunity:

* Residential to Karratha is preferred, though a FIFO roster may be considered for an exceptional applicant.

About You:
You’re a senior or lead surveyor looking to take the next step with the potential to grow your surveying experience and grow beyond. You love leading through guidance and helping people achieve their best selves. While managing surveyors, you also take an interest in the whole project, finding opportunities to add value and improve processes. You are comfortable dealing with businesses and at the human level.
You are confident performing professional surveying work involving considerable independence in approach and demanding substantial ingenuity and judgement. You also take a keen interest in strategic business management and development. Working at an advanced level in resource allocation, supervision of staff, complex projects and liaison with clients and stakeholders, you are looking for support to take your journey to the next level.
Working closely with two thriving businesses in Yurra and Hawkeye Services, you will report directly to an established Yurra Project Manager with a substantial survey background. This will allow you to take an active role and gain exposure to the project management world, opening further paths in your development and creating numerous growth opportunities.

About Responsibilities:
* The leadership of the Hawkeye Pilbara team in Karratha to achieve the objectives of each project and the wider business.
* The role involves general management of service and operations, emphasising leadership, client security, regional and local teamwork, company alignment, and productivity.
* Develop and maintain opportunities and partnerships for the business.
* Focus on achieving, maintaining, and improving efficiencies and effectiveness.
* Ability to attract, develop and retain the right people in the right roles.
* Ability to coach others to prioritise their activities in line with agreed strategies.
* Ability to represent all aspects of the company to clients and partners.
* Liaise regularly with stakeholders about projects and development.
* Confidently perform survey work in the field.
* Maintain professional and productive relationships with existing and future clients.
* Drive effective and value-adding compliance with the company’s key performance indicators for projects, development, and participation.
* Participate and lead in operational meetings with internal leaders.
* Effectively manage and resolve HSEQ issues and escalate where required.
* Improve processes and procedures to ensure the most professional, compliant, safe, and efficient on-site procedures.
* Actively participate in pre-start meetings, information sessions, and field leadership to ensure effective and open communication with the operational team.
* Effectively manage and resolve personnel issues and escalate where required.
* Work closely with your manager to identify personnel with potential for further training and progression.
* Follow and contribute to workplace policies and improvement opportunities to ensure we act efficiently and effectively.
About Success:
* Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying.
* Experience working in the Pilbara.
* Extensive (demonstrated) experience and applied technical knowledge working at a senior surveyor level.
* Understanding of Leica equipment and 12d Software is desirable.
* Excellent understanding of and high regard for health, safety, and quality obligations following legislation and client policies.
* Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems and risks.
* Ability and drive to assist as a Junior Project Manager.
* Strong understanding of the Pilbara region and relevant mining industry knowledge and experience.
* Proven experience leading and creating a proactive, safe, and supportive team culture.
