Your new company This independent State Government Authority are responsible for legal matters relating to the Criminal Justice System within Victoria. They are currently seeking a new Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Your new roleThis role will contribute to the smooth and efficient delivery of payroll services for the organisation. They will provide professional and accurate advice to managers and employees for general People & Culture and pay enquires.Preparation and processing of the fortnightly payroll and undertake transactions relating to employment conditions including salary overpayments/underpayments and recovery.Provide general administrative support to the People Services Manager and People & Culture team as required, including data entryMaintain accurate electronic and paper-based records and adhere to the highest levels of confidentialityUndertake reporting as required, including audit, EOFY and annual reporting and identify future reporting requirements.What you'll need to succeed Experience working in a People Services environment, preferably in a professional organisation where confidentiality is importantExperience and proficiency in the use of CHRIS21 or other payroll systemsHigh level interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)What you'll get in returnThis role provides the opportunity to join a growing State Government Authority who invest in their people and wellbeing to support them to succeed.
