An opportunity is available for a Podiatry Technical Assistant to join the podiatry team and work with Podiatrists in manufacturing orthoses, footwear modifications, and workshop maintenance. We strongly encourage applicants from key communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTIQA+ people, and people living with disabilities.The Role:Provide high level of technical support to podiatrists in the manufacture of foot orthoses.Maintenance and safe operation of orthotic manufacturing equipment and orthotic lab rooms.Maintaining stock levels and ordering of orthotic materials.Provide supervision, training, and education of staff in foot orthoses manufacture and appropriate use of equipment.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively including verbal and written communication with podiatry staff, clients and a commitment to work as part of a team for the production of high-quality foot orthoses.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 14.36 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $65,236 to $68,925 per annum (pro rata).
