Who are we looking for? • You have strong sales experience and have been involved with multiple stakeholders such as EPC contractors, consulting engineers as well as end client • You almost certainly have worked in a technical sales role where a significant part of your time was spent in logically persuading engineers and/or other technical personnel to decide to specify your company's products and services. • A background that included renewable energy clients would be a bonus, but not essential • Likely you are trade, diploma or degree qualified and this could be a technical or commercial qualification. The role You will liaise with a range of stakeholders including EPC's, developers, engineering / design companies, owner’s engineers and asset owners. A key part of your role will also be to provide technical and commercial assistance to the company's sales & marketing team. Your sales history shows an ability to identify key leads, make a professional product presentation and finally convert to sales revenue. A key part of your success will come from your ability to sell a product / service offering. • Identify new market opportunities and deliver technical solutions to tenders. • Tendering and business development • Drive and assist with new product development to meet the growing and changing needs of the solar and wind industries • Assist with marketing material • Prepare, maintain and periodically review an effective business plan for new business development for existing and new products into targeted markets. • Visit relevant key customers on a regular basis to investigate new business opportunities for the company’s range products and systems. • Coordination and completion of all major tender and quotation bids for project related business opportunities • In consultation with the Project Manager and Purchasing & Supply Manager, ensure that all project procurement is handled on time and on budget. • Assist the Project Manager to provide appropriate product training of relevant staff to enable them to promote and handle enquiries.
