About the role
Fixed term temporary full time until May 2025 with possibility of extension opportunity to provide, develope and maintain an efficient, effective, ethical and confidential administrative and secretarial support service to the Assistant Nursing Director, Perioperative Services, Level 4 Ned Hanlon Building. This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position while maintaining open channels of communication between all staff within the department and other members of multidisciplinary teams.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
1. Organise, co-ordinate and schedule for the Assistant Nursing Director, RBWH Peri-operative Services daily activities ensuring the optimal usage of available time. This includes arranging and maintaining a daily diary of meetings and appointments, organising meetings and conferences, arranging venues, catering, teleconferencing and researching and collating information, correspondence and material necessary for the Assistant Nursing Director, RBWH Peri-operative Services at such meeting and appointments. Perform confidential executive/administrative duties.
2. Coordinate the Operating Suite Scheduling and maintain the Operating Room Master Schedule and weekly update and distribution. Assist and Liaise with the Assistant Nursing Director with the coordination, maintenance and publication of the Master Peri-operative Template and the weekly OR schedule. This includes close liaison with the Deputy Director of Anaesthetics, the Elective Surgery Coordinator, Medical Officers, the Peri-operative Nursing Leadership, the ORMIS Systems Manager and Anaesthetic Support Supervisor.
3. Provide executive support and maintain records to Committees chaired by the Assistant Nursing Director, RBWH Peri-operative Services. This includes preparation of and/or coordination of agenda papers, reports, minutes and correspondence, finalisation and dispatch of such papers and follow-up actions i.e. Peri-operative Management Advisory Group and the Peri-operative Nursing Leadership Group. Monitor all relevant committee meetings to ensure delegated actions to the Assistant Nursing Director, RBWH Peri-operative Services are coordinated and monitored to ensure compliance by required dates.
