Working closely with business leaders you will partner closely with the business to deliver Line 1 Risk leadership. Key duties include:
* Risk Identification & Assessment: Identify and assess risks within business operations and processes to ensure effective risk management and compliance.
* Control Design & Implementation: Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure operational effectiveness.
* Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor risk controls and provide regular reports to management, highlighting any issues or improvements needed.
* Risk Culture Promotion: Foster a strong risk culture across the organization through training, awareness programs, and promoting risk management best practices.
* Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the business complies with relevant regulations and internal policies, managing compliance risks effectively.
* Incident Management & Reporting: Support the investigation and reporting of risk incidents, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
* Collaboration & Business Unit Support: Partner with various business units to implement risk controls and ensure alignment with the organization's overall risk management framework.
Key requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience in Line 1 Risk in a financial services or related industry.
* Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, control implementation, and controls testing.
* Experience in designing, testing, and validating controls to ensure they are effective in mitigating risks.
* Proven ability to influence and collaborate across business units to promote risk management.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to report and escalate risks clearly to stakeholders.
