Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Structural Engineer looking to put your skills to work on interesting projects for the Wollongong community?
About the role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary Design and Technical Service branch. This branch is responsible for meeting the design needs of a wide range of Council capital projects and maintenance programs, including community buildings, recreational facilities, bridges, and civil engineering structures.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Utilise your experience to prepare engineering designs and investigations across a broad range of Structural and Building Infrastructure projects.
* Prepare contract documentation and effectively manage design projects using a mixture of internal resources and external design consultants through strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes with a high level of customer service.
About You:
* You have extensive experience in structural design, preferably in public infrastructure.
* You have experience in coordination and delivery of complete design projects.
* You have strong communication skills and can effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
* You have a commitment to delivering quality outcomes for our community with a high level of customer service.
