Following the acquisition of the Sykes Group, we are recruiting a Project Coordinator for this global brand and manufacturer of surface and hydraulic submersible dewatering pumps. This role is for a period of 6 months to cover a period of leave.
”Sykes Group Pty ltd.” is a global brand and manufacturer of surface and hydraulic submersible dewatering pumps, predominantly used for transferring water with solids and abrasive nature within construction, mining and wastewater sectors. The company has Manufacturing, Service and Assembly facilities in Newcastle, Australia; Dubai, UAE and in Charlotte USA.
The Project Coordinator supports the execution of large dewatering projects, coordinating activities, maintaining stakeholder communication, and managing project documentation. The role involves monitoring progress, addressing issues, and assisting with quality control and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
2. Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
3. Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
4. Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management.
5. Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, meeting minutes, and updates.
6. Facilitate project meetings and document decisions and action items.
7. Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and properly maintained.
8. Manage project files, records, and documentation systems.
9. Coordinate and track project deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
10. Identify and address project risks and issues and escalate them as necessary.
11. Assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
12. Support the implementation of quality control standards and procedures.
13. Monitor and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
14. Assist in tracking project expenses and managing project budgets.
15. Support the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
Education Requirements:
16. Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
17. Experience in project coordination or a similar role, preferably within the dewatering, construction, engineering, or pump manufacturing sectors.Proficiency in MS Office suite and project management software.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for onsite support and customer visits.

Proficient in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets; experienced in coordinating project activities and resources.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.Sound ability to manage project files, records, and documentation systems; ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.Skilled in identifying and addressing project risks and issues; able to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.
