Salary: $77,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client is seeking an experienced Chef to join their restaurant located in Darch, Western Australia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Craft traditional and innovative dishes, ensuring a balance of flavors and textures, while documenting and standardizing recipes for consistency.
* Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and grinding spices. Cooking meals to meet set standards.
* Manage stock levels by ordering necessary ingredients and tracking inventory to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
* Supervise kitchen staff such as assistants and line cooks, providing training and guidance.
* Maintain a clean, organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards, and ensure kitchen equipment is well-maintained.
* Regularly taste dishes to monitor flavour and quality, using customer feedback to refine dishes and enhance service.
* Control food costs and optimize profitability by managing budgets, minimizing waste, and efficiently using ingredients.
* Develop new recipes to refresh the menu, including seasonal specials made with fresh, local ingredients.
* Adhere to local health regulations regarding food handling, storage, and sanitation. Implement safety practices to prevent kitchen accidents.
* Engage with customers to explain dishes and gather feedback.
* Stay updated on industry trends and cooking techniques, participating in workshops or courses to continuously improve culinary skills.
Requirements:
* Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery
* Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management
* At least three (3) years of relevant prior experience.
