Marrickville Catholic Parish is looking for a Parish Secretary responsible for the main office 4 days per week during the hours of 9.30am - 4.00pm. (days to be determined) This role will be responsible for organising and coordinating the administrative duties of the parish office to create and maintain an effective and organised work environment. The role will provide administration support to the PP and other staff members. Tasks & responsibilities will include but not limited to: Answering phones, emails and all enquiriesWeekly newsletter preparation and uploading to websiteDiary management for parish events and parish priestMaintenance of office, church and kitchen suppliesKeeping Sacramental Registers to dateEnsure effective administration processes are maintained Preferences Minimum 3 years office administration experiencePrevious experience in a Parish Office preferredProficient with PACS preferredExperience in dealing with peopleWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher Working knowledge of Google Suite programsCommitment to service and a willingness to be accountable for their performanceCapability and willingness to take initiative Catholic ethos Be supportive of the ethos of the Catholic ChurchParticipate in staff liturgical and formation opportunitiesThis position is classified as child related employment.
