About the opportunity
* An exciting opportunity exists for innovative, self motivated person to join our Perioperative Services as an Elective caesarean section midwifery team.
* The role is responsible for the preoperative care of pregnant women awaiting an caesarean section
* To be a single point of contact and to work collaboratively with all clinical and administrative staff involved in the delivery of elective LUSCS care; suitability for ERAS pathway, pre-operative assessment, elective LUSCS scheduling, inpatient care and postoperative follow up and education.

* Excellent clinical, time management, organizational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
* The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
* Extensive experience working in Perioperative Services providing perioperative care of patients – preoperative, intraoperative, post-operative to discharge and Antenatal Clinic highly desirable
* Knowledge of waitlist management and clinical triaging
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
