They are looking for someone who has enough experience to come in and hit the ground running. Your Opportunity: Take on this great contracted role to expand your building and construction experience. Looking for a person with trade qualifications that have experience in estimating. Prepare indicative cost estimates. Prepare specification and documents ready for tender. Review tender pricing to confirm Value for Money. Review documentation and quotes prior to submission to client to ensure the proposed scope of works matches the client brief. Computer skills including Excel. About You Some of the key responsibilities required of the position will include the following: Looking for trade background with basic computer skills. Cairns locals or close enough to commute. This role does not include relocation. Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card. Produce high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project trade packages; including material lists and construction programs. Coordinate and undertake the delivery of a high-quality condition assessment services for clients, including inspections/surveys of building elements and construction materials and collecting samples of suspected asbestos containing materials for laboratory testing. Undertake inspection services including tenancy management services and maintenance referrals on behalf of Government Employee Housing. Program Supervisor - Cairns The Opportunity: Looking for a Senior Tradie with Computer Skills! Assist in management of client programs, including liaising with operational supervisors to ensure successful outcomes. Report to management and clients on the status of maintenance programs, including budgets, expenditure, delivery timeframes and works still in tender stage. Developing positive and secure relationships with internal and external stakeholders through regular communication by meetings, phone calls, Microsoft Teams and emails. Provide clients with professional guidance on alternate solutions that are "Fit for purpose" and provide more sustainable products that are within client's budgets. Minimum Requirements Construction industry related trade qualification (highly desirable); and current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card.
