Our client is a well established hotel chain and is is looking for a Sous Chef to join their Hotel in a great location.The RoleWe are looking to immediately fill permanent full-time position for chef.The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to:Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes as per our standardsCreating menus with flair and innovation having regard to our stock, season and patronpreferencesEnsure patron satisfaction & experience by delivering dishes to expectationMonitoring stock level and ordering accordingly to ensure cost-effectivenessMonitoring food preservation and rotation to ensure minimal wastageAssisting and training kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation and ingredientsAiding in the selection and training of kitchen staff.Managing kitchen staffEnsuring health regulations are met at all times by all kitchen and waiting staff.To be considered for this role you must possess the following attributes:AQF Diploma in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent and at least 2 years ofexperience in a similar role, or a minimum of 3 years in a similar roleSuperior work ethicAbility to work under pressureBe a team playerEnthusiastic "can do" approachA friendly and approachable personality Is a mustABOUT YOU:Relevant qualifications in Commercial CookeryRelevant experience in a premium restaurant/banquet kitchenEnthusiasm and creative approach to providing high-quality cuisineDemonstrated understanding of Australian food safety and HACCPAvailability to work weekends and public holidays as required within a rotating rosterWell presented, punctual and reliableAbility to keep your section clean and organized with a good understanding ofwork flow and structureAbility to prioritize and work under pressureA passion for quality food and produce accommodation assistance providedsalary : $ 73,150- $80,000 + Superannuation.
