PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAct as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with NOV’s product standards.Analyze and identify root causes of nonconforming products, providing a deep understanding of underlying issues to facilitate resolution.Collaborate with engineering and other stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive actions that address root causes and prevent recurrence.Ensure corrective actions resolve immediate NCRs and contribute to long-term quality improvements across processes and products.Effectively communicate quality requirements to suppliers, ensuring clear understanding and adherence to NOV’s standards.Provide targeted training to suppliers if necessary, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to deliver consistently high-quality parts.Perform visual and dimensional inspections of components, raw materials, and finished goods during the manufacturing process or upon receipt in accordance with drawings, purchase orders, and standards. Conduct source inspections at both NOV and supplier facilities, ensuring products meet quality standards.Make accept/reject decisions on inspected products and suggest corrective actions when necessary.Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain files of inspection documents, and review inspection records and material test reports for compliance.Maintain inspection and measuring equipment, ensuring they are properly calibrated and functional.Create and manage detailed Non-Conformance Reports for nonconforming parts, overseeing the entire nonconformity process from opening to closure.Follow calibration requirements and processes for NOV’s inspection tools and equipment, ensuring ongoing maintenance and compliance.Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSDiploma or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 years’ experience as quality inspector or engineerGD&T certification is a plusJOB REQUIREMENTS – FACILITY SPECIFICFully understanding of GD&TProven experience in quality control or assurance, with a strong understanding of inspection techniques and measuring tools.Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions with related stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.Capable of inspecting tight tolerance components.Capable of inspecting complex components.BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIESCapable of working under different assignments – MultitaskingCapable of working as a team and with other teamsSelf-motivated, flexible, time effective, organized, and detail-orientedTECHNICAL COMPETENCIESUnderstanding ERPs and general computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), writing technical reports, excellent communication skills (written and verbal).FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESNone
