The purpose of the Child Safety and Wellbeing Service is to support the Department to create a child safe culture, implement strategies and take action to promote child safety and wellbeing.
Reporting to the Director of Recovery and Child Safeguarding, you will lead a small team of dedicated staff across one of two streams (1) Training, Education and Advice or (2) Policy, Projects, Risk and Engagement.
The positions can be located in the South, North or North-West.
The Role :
Providing high-level analysis, risk management, strategic advice, leadership and direction in the planning, development, implementation, management and delivery of key strategic policy, programs and education initiatives related to child safety and wellbeing in a health service delivery context.
Manage a small team of employees with a range of portfolio responsibilities related to child safety and wellbeing activities.
You will need :
Ability to work in a complex and sensitive environment, united by our shared purpose and model our CARE values.
Understanding of trauma informed principles, and ability to apply this approach to delivery of child safety and wellbeing programs.
Demonstrated high levels of personal resilience, flexibility and perseverance.
Details of appointment :
Multiple permanent full time and part time, day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from March 2025.
