About the Opportunity
This is a unique role requiring a dynamic individual who is the Subject Matter Expert in Flight Centre’s Air Distribution systems, including multiple GDS and TPConnects solutions. Sitting in the Supply business, you will provide technical support and consultancy to internal and external businesses, working and consulting with our consultant support teams, brands, Project Management & Engineering (PM&E), vendors, and management, often bridging the gap between the business and technology. You will be responsible for handling third level support escalations and for delivering proactive and preventative support, through understanding key support drivers and levers to improve consultant, support agent and off-shore partner knowledge.
As a Systems Analyst, you will often be involved in complex projects, troubleshooting technical issues and provide guidance on best practices, technical solutions, and prioritisation. You will play a critical role in implementation, maintenance and ensuring that the systems are operationally robust and efficient. You will be responsible for keeping a finger on the pulse in your field of expertise, with the focus on continuous learning, problem-solving, and innovation, in order to drive technical excellence.
What you will be doing:
Maintain a detailed understanding of our Air Distribution systems and their relationship with Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) systems and users, and the business impacts of any changes.
Provide high level technical assistance by handling third level support escalations, ensuring issues are fully understood, clearly documented and/or solution provided.
Proactively identify trends and identify opportunities to simplify, streamline or enhance.
Work with the Business Improvement Managers to assist in creating and validating processes to enhance business productivity through automation and off-shoring.
Engage with stakeholders to identify and communicate business risks and opportunities.
Articulate business requirements, including ‘why’ for change or continuation of current systems and/or processes.
Liaise with internal support business to limit duplication and ensure consistency in delivery of knowledge and resources.
Release management – including signing-off testing, communications, and deployment of system releases, and the impacts around their integration with FCTG systems.
Development and management of knowledge articles in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
Provide expertise for upskilling of Support & Off-shore team members to consistently improve the delivery of consultant support and training.
Be an expert in our Air Distribution systems, technical configuration.
Support technical implementations across markets and brands.
Understand the Global Air Connectivity business plan and strategy.
Understand the evolving Air Distribution NDC (New Distribution Capability) strategies in each region.
Manage and maintain multi-level relationships, both internally and externally, with key business stakeholders across suppliers, Corporate, Leisure and Supply divisions.
What you will need:
Essential
Minimum of 5 years’ Travel industry experience in working with Air Distribution systems and our products such as Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport or other air aggregators.
1-2 years’ leadership experience.
Desired
Experience with NDC and Air Content & Distribution experience as a technology specialist / analyst.
Experience in business analysis or project management.
Experience in process design and Implementation / delivery roles.
Hours: The business hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm – plus some outside of standard office hours to service global business partners.
Location: The team is based in Brisbane, however the role can be based in all AU/NZ locations with a Flight Centre office.
