About the role As the Regional Operations Safeworking Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of rail services across our network.
You will be responsible for managing signaling equipment, liaising with Train Control, and ensuring safety compliance in track access and maintenance.
Key Accountabilities Include: Operate infield signaling equipment for train arrivals and departures.
Liaise with Train Control and neighboring networks to ensure the safe operation of rail traffic.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during track works and maintenance activities.
Oversee station operations, including security, cleanliness, and customer service.
Manage disruption events and coordinate effective communication for customers.
About you We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a safety-critical environment.
You will be a team player, able to adapt to changing conditions, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following: Previous experience in rail safeworking or operational environments (preferred but not essential).
Ability to work effectively across a range of operational scenarios and regional locations.
Strong communication skills, with a focus on safety and customer service.
A current Victorian Driver's License.
