About us:
Rockhampton
The Rockhampton Maternity Services is located within the Rockhampton Hospital, which is CQ Health's largest referral and teaching hospital. Rockhampton Hospital provides state of the art health care for more than 234,000 Central Queensland patients. The Maternity Unit is made up of 5 birthing suites (one birthing pool), 3 consultation/assessment rooms, 15 beds for antenatal and postnatal care. The Level 3 Special Care Nursery has 8 allocated cots and provides care for those babies 32 weeks gestation and older. Neonates requiring a higher level of care are transferred to Brisbane or Townsville.
Gladstone
The Gladstone Womens and Newborns Unit is a 14 bed, 3 birth suite unit and is composed of a Maternity/Gynaecology unit, 4 cot Neonatal Nursery, Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) and an Extended Midwifery Service. All women have access to evidenced-based, culturally competent maternity care, in a range of settings close to their place of residence. Appropriately trained and qualified maternity health professionals provide maternity care to women whom meet the service capability of Gladstone Hospital. We offer waterbirth in our unit. Births per year are approximately 580-600.
Emerald
The Emerald Hospital is the main birthing hub for the Central Highlands district and caters for approximately 350 births annually. The level 3 maternity Neonatal Service provides stabilisation of the newborn prior to transfer to a tertiary facility when required. Emerald Hospital maternity service offers both MGP and Core services. There is a strong focus on multidisciplinary care planning and networking with Community Agencies.
About the role:
The Registered Midwife (RM) works within the scope of practice assuming responsibility for the delivering of competent, evidence-based midwifery care. This position works collaboratively with other members of a multidisciplinary team ensuring safe and reliable care is provided within a dynamic health environment.
About you:
1. Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory.

Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:
2. An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
3. An hourly rate between $51.33 - $65.84 p.h. (includes 23% casual loading)
