Job DescriptionProject EngineerLocation: Newell highwayLong term role with clear progressionWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team for the Narrabri to Moree Project. This project involves the upgrade of 27.3km of the Newell Highway, focusing on earthworks, heavy duty pavement, culverts, utilities, lighting upgrades, and public rest areas.The project commenced in June 2022 and is expected to be completed by 2024. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing various aspects of the project.Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Narrabri to Moree Project, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.Prepare and review project plans, schedules, and budgets, identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues.Supervise and provide guidance to project teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuring proper resource allocation and efficient workflow.Monitor project progress, conducting regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.Review and approve technical drawings, designs, and specifications, providing technical expertise and resolving any design-related issues.Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of meetings, progress reports, and change orders.Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of project materials and equipment.Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.Support the implementation of quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.Promote a culture of safety on the project site, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Proven experience as a Project Engineer, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and equipment.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the construction industry.A valid driver's license.Benefits:Competitive salary with a 20% project uplift on the base salary.Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) to cover accommodation and food expenses.10 days on / 4 days off roster (FIFO / DIDO).Fortnightly flights provided to the point of hire.
