Your new role As Fleet Manager, you will work closely with the Logistics, Finance, and Senior teams to lead a high-performing fleet operation, ensuring optimal performance across all aspects. Your responsibilities will include fleet procurement and remarketing, maintaining WHS compliance, managing maintenance, damage, and service cost control, and driving high fleet utilisation. You will actively identify and seize opportunities for cost reduction in areas such as sales, procurement, maintenance, and repair, while improving vehicle turnaround KPIs. The role requires expertise in selecting the right vehicles at the right prices and ensuring their efficient disposal. Flexibility and adaptability are key as the fleet function evolves, and your ability to review processes and implement best practices will support ongoing improvements across the business. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the development and execution of the fleet strategy of the business in conjunction with the CFO. Yearly and rolling fleet plans and budgets in accordance with market conditions and sales projections including setting vehicle residuals. Maintain master rates and advise relevant stakeholders of any changes when necessary. Develop and manage key Logistics relationships including Branch visits. Manage external relationships. Develop and manage a country wide national service network of maintenance suppliers and repairers. Maintaining high utilisation across the country through the effective management of your assets. Monitor and enforce all vehicle policies and procedures, including shared procedures between fleet and ACM And Logistics. Key reporting as defined to the Senior leadership team and up to board level where required. Identify, assess, prioritise and control risks to the health and safety of staff, contractors and visitors, arising from the operation of the department. Ensure systems of work that are safe and without risk to health are developed, documented and followed by staff, contractors and visitors through appropriate training, supervision and monitoring What you’ll need to succeed 5 years of experience in a senior fleet role, ideally in the car rental sector Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to manage stakeholders both internally and externally Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills Experience in vehicle procurement, sales, and understanding of residual values Ability to make cost-effective decisions considering business risk Expertise in reviewing and implementing best practice processes Highly Desirable: Knowledge of vehicles and repair methods Understanding of Australian motor industry rules and regulations Experience managing a repair network What we offer Competitive salary package with incentives Discounted car hire for family and friends Rewards and Recognition programs 12 weeks paid parental leave Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee referral bonus Great culture and collaborative work environment
