This role will contribute to the development and delivery of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).The CQ Region covers an area of about 604,824km2, approximately 34.9% of Queensland. Its landscape ranges from beautiful coastal areas adjoining the Great Barrier Reef and rainforests to the rugged outback with breathtaking rock formations. The region has an estimated residential population of 422,141 people.In the role of Senior Program Advisor, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of business-related functions that support the Program Delivery and Operations (PDO) Branch with the delivery of the Queensland Transport Road Infrastructure Program (QTRIP). Business support functions include administration services; budget and finance development and reporting; travel coordination; facilities and fleet management; document and information management (record keeping); business improvement; governance and other business-related activities determined by the District Leadership Team.Some of your responsibilities will include:Lead an ongoing program of business initiatives that support and enhance program and project delivery.Engage with stakeholders and establish timelines and frameworks to deliver and implement initiatives.Identify, evaluate, and develop opportunities to improve and streamline current systems and processes for monitoring key performance indicators.Write and/or review complex reports, briefing notes, submissions, departmental and other correspondence in accordance with departmental standards and to set timeframes.Develop and maintain effective networks, and consult and negotiate with internal and external clients, interest groups, and other government agencies.Co-ordinate resources to ensure that business outcomes, performance indicators, project deliverables and deadlines are achieved.Ensure compliance with corporate governance obligations, standards, legislation, and policies.Additional priorities as requested by Regional Business Manager and Manager Program Support.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
