Your responsibilities will include:
You’ll be responsible for the development and implementation of the authoring requirements for Technical Publication products in response to evolving customer requirements. You’ll undertake the coordination and/or maintenance of the development, update and revision of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) technical Publication artefacts, in support of the SouthPAN program requirements, including product, user, system and process documentation and provide advice and guidance to ILS leads, project staff, and customers with respect to technical publication authoring activities.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
* Substantial professional experience in a technical authoring role writing and editing documentation (Operation and Maintenance instructions) with illustrating awareness to explain concepts and technical information clearly and effectively
* Substantial experience with authoring principles in the development of Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) in the use of MS Office, FrameMaker and XML
* Substantial experience within an engineering and/or maintenance environment, preferably within the defence industry
* Familiarity of DEF (AUST) 5629C and DEF (AUST) IPS-5630.
* Knowledge of ILS Technical Publication procedures and the overall engineering product lifecycle
* Ability to condense complex concepts into succinct explanations
* Awareness in configuration and change management principles
* Eligibility to hold both an Australian NV-1 security clearance and access/handle ITAR controlled technology, data and information
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
