We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Network Officer at our Northam Depot, on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
Northam is the largest town in the Avon Region, situated at the joining of the Avon and Mortlock Rivers, only 97 kilometres east-northeast of Perth in the Avon Valley.

About this role
As a Project Network Officer, you will be required to manage the construction phase of Western Power’s asset driven and customer driven projects. In addition, you will have to investigate, identify and resolve moderate to complex network issues including power quality, electric shock investigations and perform commissioning and maintenance to distribution automation switchgear. You will also be required to:
8. Provide strategic leadership with an ability to motivate for success.
9. Manage own work in order to respond to customer enquiries professionally and in the quickest possible timeframe.
10. Ensure that relevant computer systems are kept up to date and provide project status reports to internal management and external customers as requested.
11. Coordinate or perform complex technical work on Western Power networks.
12. Use project management systems and tools to manage work.
13. Adhere (and ensure adherence) to all safety strategies, programs and practices.
14. Maintain and utilise an up-to-date knowledge of field practices and procedures.
15. Ensure work is completed according to engineering standards and regulations.
16. Monitor and analyse operational performance data.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
17. “A” grade WA Electrical Workers License endorsed for Electrical Fitting / Mechanic – essential
18. Possess Cert III (ESI Distribution) is highly regarded but not essential
19. A minimum of 5 + years advanced technical experience within a particular discipline, preferably in the Networks business. Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency in accordance with the Energy Safety Act 2006.
20. Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the electricity supply and construction sector.
21. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work alone or within a team environment
22. LOU + HOU highly regarded but not essential
23. Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment
24. Experience dealing with external customers
25. Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’
