About the roles
The Procurement Support and Procurement Officers provide support of the procurement and management of ACIC contracts to meet the key organisational requirements. The occupants of these positions will provide administrative support to the Procurement and Purchasing teams, for the management of procurement processes and contracts for goods and services for the agency.
Key responsibilities of the APS4 Procurement Support Officer:
The occupant of this position will assist in the performance of the Procurement team’s functions through contributions to procurement policy, procedures and other guidance material, entry of procurement related information into SAP, completion of procurement processes, the provision of advice, assistance and training to ACIC employees and the management of the ACIC’s information on AusTender.
Key responsibilities of the APS5 Procurement Officer:
The ACIC Procurement Officer strives for procurement best practices to provide better support to stakeholders, increase capability and comply with Government legislations, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules. The occupant of this position will be responsible for providing advice and assisting with the development of procurement policies, strategies and supporting guidelines for stakeholders across ACIC’s national offices.

To be successful as an APS4 Procurement Support Officer, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
* Data Entry - Registering contracts, creating purchase orders and associated processing and reporting in SAP, with a keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Working closely with Accounts Payable/Receivable to provide advice on invoices being processed to the existing Purchase Orders and assisting if & when discrepancies arise. Accounts Payable experience would be highly regarded
* Supporting the loading of the ACIC’s procurement information on AusTender for reporting purposes
* Making informed recommendations and providing advice that supports Commonwealth and multi-jurisdictional law enforcement activities and initiatives
* Supporting the ACIC’s routine procurements by providing advice, guidance and assistance regarding the administration of procurement matters including reporting requirements
* Review of tender documentation for accuracy prior to loading on AusTender
* Contributing to research, planning and development of procedures, processes, documents and tools relating to procurement and contract management
To be successful as an APS5 Procurement Officer, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
* Assist with the preparation of briefs, reports and various other executive correspondence as required
* Conduct reviews of guidelines to ensure internal policies and intranet information are current
* Maintain a knowledge base on government policies affecting ACIC procurement
* Assist in the preparation of training materials to improve procurement capability as required
* Provide project and administrative support to the Procurement team as required
* Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
* Ability to manage time and prioritise to meet deadlines
* Support and assist in the delivery of contract management compliance
Essential qualifications
* A Cert IV in Government Procurement or a willingness to complete a Cert IV in Procurement.
* Experience in SAP desirable but not essential.

* Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
* Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
* Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
