The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Darwin office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and delivering engineering solutions to clients according to their project requirements
2. Preparing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and reports
3. Liaising with clients to ensure their requirements align with project requirements
4. Coordinating external consultants (Architects, Surveyors, Hydraulic Engineers, etc.) for the incorporation of any required engineering inputs into designs
5. Effectively undertaking engineering design in a computer-aided design environment
6. Conducting internal audits of the company's business management system and ensuring proper design and drafting standards are set and maintained
7. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Preferably 5-10 years industry relevant experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to build relationships with clients and external consultants
* High-level ability to understand complex engineering challenges and develop multiple solutions with consideration of risk and opportunity
