Base pay range
A$110,000.00/yr - A$115,000.00/yr

* Must have worked in a similar role in manufacturing.
* 5 days onsite and operations are 8am to 4pm, however, certain flexibility with start and finish times.

Role Summary
The Health & Safety Officer will play a key role in implementing and maintaining safety, health, and environmental (SHE) systems across the business. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to drive safety initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and foster a strong safety culture.
This role requires someone with a strong understanding of SHE regulations, experience in conducting audits, and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Must have worked in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
This client is looking for someone who has a strong personality and who can influence, and negotiate with, stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* SHE Management: Oversee day-to-day SHE activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Incident Reporting & Compliance: Support incident investigations, hazard reporting, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
* Audits & Risk Management: Conduct SHE audits, analyse risks, and implement improvements to enhance workplace safety.
* Training & Awareness: Deliver safety training and coaching to employees to promote a proactive safety culture.
* Regulatory & ISO Standards: Assist in maintaining ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other SHE certifications.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance SHE performance and drive best practice initiatives.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various teams to ensure SHE processes are integrated into business operations.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Experience in implementing and managing SHE systems within a regulated environment.
* Strong knowledge of workplace safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to analyse SHE data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) or a related field.
* 2-3+ years' experience in a similar SHE role.
* Experience within manufacturing environment.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Hours
40hrs, Monday to Friday with flexibility on start and finish times. This role is site-based 5 days a week.
