The role: Within the Agency Framework and in accordance with relevant Policies and Procedures, the Nurse Practitioner -NSCCC: Is responsible, within the defined scope of practice, for the development, provision and evaluation of clinical care that ensures optimal outcomes for children and their families.
Draws upon their professional competencies to improve clinical service outcomes through effective research, education and quality improvement activities.
Is responsible as a leader, advisor and mentor for other staff members to ensure high level clinical excellence within NSCCC.
Act as a prime source of authority in current management of the care and education of patients, clients, their families, communities, and service areas using evidence-based practice.
Utilise clinical guidelines based on best practice principles, within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework and in accordance with national standards, organisational directions, policies, legal requirements and professional standards.

Details of Appointment Fixed term full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.

Salary: $132,215 per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service Agreement) 2019 Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and endorsed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration * Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
