The venue is positioned directly adjacent to supermarket giant Woolworths, allowing immediate patronage and ample off-street parking.
We are currently looking for a Cook to work with our kitchen team at Belmore Hotel Scone.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Responsible for preparing delicious meals for our customers.
* Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales.
* Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.
* Cook food in a timely manner.
* Delegate tasks to kitchen staff.
* Inform wait staff about daily specials.
* Ensure appealing plate presentation.
* Monitor food stock and assist with orders.
* Check the freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
* Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the
* kitchen area.
* Provide exceptional customer service for the front bar, bistro and beer garden.
* Monitor inventory of supplies stock/equipment as inform management of
* necessary purchases
* Reporting to Head Chef or Hotel Management
* Coordinate and assist with menu for special events parties.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Commercial cookery qualifications are preferred but not essential.
* Minimum of 2-3 years relevant commercial kitchen experience
* All relevant experience will be considered for the Cook role
* You will be self-motivated and able to act autonomously and oversee, delegate tasks to junior kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner.
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 a year (commensurate to skills and experience)
