We are excited to announce a full-time, continuing opportunity under the Academic Casual Conversion Program for a passionate and knowledgeable Associate Lecturer (ALA) to teach and help coordinate our Indigenous Education unit.
The ideal candidate will have experience in teacher education, having taught either at the primary or secondary school level.In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, sharing valuable insights into Indigenous cultural knowledge across various units, including Indigenous Cultures and Health Behaviours, Business, and Science.Selection Criteria Progress towards a doctoral qualification in relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role).
Demonstrated ability to teach effectively as well as a commitment to reflective improvement in teaching delivery.
An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
Demonstrated willingness and ability to contribute to scholarship in teaching through participation in teaching and learning strategies and in professional development in higher education teaching.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to curriculum review and renewal.
Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
