This role is essential in streamlining system integrations and making data accessible and actionable for business users. You'll play a critical part in developing an integrated data platform, providing seamless access to information for decision-making, and driving efficiency across various operational systems. In this role, no two days are the same. You'll be diving into complex data challenges, connecting systems, and driving impactful changes across Curtin's campus. What You'll Do:Data Integration & Management: Develop, maintain, and optimise data pipelines to streamline information flow across multiple proprietary systems. Ensure data accuracy and quality, making data accessible for strategic decision-making.Data Quality & Validation: Perform data validation to guarantee data integrity across diverse operational systems and contribute to accurate, reliable datasets.System Integration & Automation: Work with APIs and integrate data from Building Management Systems (BMS) and other facility systems, creating an interconnected data environment.Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with various technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify data needs and deliver user-friendly data insights. Translate complex technical details into actionable and understandable information.About You:Technical Skills: Proficiency in C++, Python, and MatLab, with experience in SQL. Familiarity with building systems and IoT applications is preferred.Data Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience in building data pipelines and conducting data quality checks. Skilled in data wrangling, batch processing, and data standardisation.Communication Skills: A people-oriented data professional who can effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decisions.Education & Experience: Degree in computer science, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in data engineering or data integration roles.Work Requirements:Full working rights in AustraliaAbility to work on-site at our Curtin Bentley Campus in Perth, WA.
