For more information please visit us online: School of Health You will: Source high quality clinical placements for physiotherapy students and ensuring placement allocations provide students with sufficient diversity to meet accreditation requirements; Provide placement briefing/debriefing and ongoing feedback, advice, and support to students and clinical educators before, during and after placements; Coordinate clinical placement courses, monitor/respond to concerns regarding student health, welfare and competency, and collate and finalise student grades; Provide clinical education training and support for new and experienced clinical educators in hosting, supervising, and assessing students in different clinical areas and workplace settings; and Organise and facilitate pre-clinical placement simulations, contribute to the review of pre-clinical academic courses and screen/moderate suitability of students to progress to placement, and moderate clinical placement assessments. About you: You are a highly organised and proactive academic with strong administration and communication skills, capable of working both collaboratively and autonomously in clinical education roles. Your collegial approach and personal qualities contribute to a positive academic environment, fostering high levels of engagement and achievement for both staff and students. With a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across a diverse range of industry stakeholders, you excel at balancing multiple perspectives and managing expectations to support the success of clinical education programs. You will possess: Registration to practice physiotherapy with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and at least 5 years of physiotherapy clinical practice experience; Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of professional/industry stakeholders and prioritise and manage diverse perspectives/expectations; Evidence of innovation and leadership of quality clinical education of undergraduate students directly as the clinical educator /- indirectly as clinical site/staff manager Completion or near-completion of a PhD qualification in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation and standing or a minimum of ten years clinical experience as a registered physiotherapist in Australia Effectiveness as a teacher, which is evidenced by: Student feedback on clinical teaching and/or clinical supervision on placement using valid instrument/s, peer review and/or student outcomes, and the capacity to conceive, develop and deliver higher education curricula and contribute to relevant areas of teaching in clinical education and physiotherapy Evidence of participation in clinical education and academic development activities and the desire to continue to learn and improve as an effective academic. Desirable Postgraduate training, qualifications and/or experience in clinical education, health leadership or management. Experience undertaking academic administrative functions within a university (e.g. course coordination, moderation of assessments). Diverse physiotherapy experience across different health care and community settings, and ability to guide student preparation for clinical placements across different clinical areas and settings.
