About the RoleWith the growth in our business, we are looking to appoint a systems engineer to expand our team in Sydney. We are looking for a team member who has a passion for technology, loves playing in their home lab and who is continuously expanding their knowledge on Enterprise Servers, Storage, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure and Security.Our number one priority as a team is to meet our partners’ and customer’s expectations by delivering projects with exceptional quality and on-time by actively communicating with the stakeholders.You MUST be able to take on any task under pressure and take ownership of the outcome on-time.You will be working as a Senior technical resource who is involved in various project activities through a combination of on-site visits and/or working remotely for new installs, upgrades, customer migrations and ad-hoc project work. Deploy Wireless solution: This work may comprise of configuring the firewalls, installing management software for managing the access points, physically going onsite to install the access points.2. Wireless survey: Visit site with the spectrum analyser to perform the survey, extract the details from the device and compile reports to be presented to the client.3. Upgrade virtualisation environment – Say VMware versions are to be upgraded from version X to Y. Plan, implement, upgrade, document and complete the project deliverables.4. Install switches, storage array, servers in racks within the datacentre and configure remote management, followed by remotely accessing those devices to complete the configurations – could be another project.5. Build new server, storage and network configurations to be deployed to a client – this may involve pre-building some of these in our office, then moving them to the relevant client location or the datacentre to complete the remaining tasks.
